ABOUT BOB
Bob Bosworth began his apprenticeship in a series of boiler & jobbing shops in Brantford, Ont. in 1980. By 1985 he had earned his Certificate of Apprenticeship as a Fitter/Welder, and his Certificate of Qualification as a Structural Steel Plate Fitter. Over the past 30+ years he has worked in many aspects of welding from being a ticketed pressure vessel welder, to the welding of specialty metals such as tool steel, copper alloys, tin & lead (Babbitt), and many thermal spray welding processes.
His experience includes 9 years of high production automotive technical development, support and training in MIG/MAG, SMAW, GTAW (Production & Maintenance), Resistance & Projection Welding, and Solid-State Bonding. Bob taught the Metal Fabricator, Fitter/Welder & Structural Steel Plate Fitter Apprenticeship programs at Mohawk College for 20 years. He has also covered other welding related courses at Humber and Sheridan Colleges, completed the CWB Supervisor qualifications program for CSA W47.1, and is a CSA W178.2 certified Level 1 visual welding inspector in both Steel & Aluminum.
Bob is also a graduate of the Ambulance & Emergency Care Program at Conestoga College, and is a licensed EMCA in the province of Ontario. Bob has been the President and Chief Technical Officer of Elite Welding Solutions since June 2015.
